Fatigue is one of the major issues facing the aeronautic industry.
Among the themes already addressed by MECAMIX with its own tools, including the MXDVFAT software, are:
- Vibration fatigue of turbine blades
- Fretting-fatigue of Turbojet turbine blades
- Optimizing surface treatment by shot peening or roller burnishing, by coupling MXDVFAT with other original numerical methods to calculate the induced residual stresses
Another important topic is multiphysics welding modeling where all physical phenomena are taken into account (from the arc welding to final solidification). The software MXDVWELD (currently in preparation) will model welding and its effects on complex assemblies.
